How Many Facebook Followers Do I Have
Wikipedia article
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently the most-followed individual on Facebook, with over 150 million followers.
This article contains a list of the top 50 accounts with the largest number of followers on the social media platform Facebook.[1] [2] As of October 2021, the most-followed page is Facebook App's page with more than 190 million followers. The second most-followed page is Samsung's page with over 161 million. The most-followed person is Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, with over 150 million followers as of October 2021[update].[3] [4] [5] [6] [7] Colombian pop star Shakira is the first person to reach more than 100 million likes and followers on Facebook, becoming the most "liked" music celebrity on the social network in the process.[8]
The number of "likes" on Facebook can serve as a measurement of interest and/or popularity in a particular brand, product or personality, though there have also been reports of the "overblown importance" of likes.[9] Due to social media's role as an influential way of shaping reputations,[10] there exist companies specializing in selling "likes" from fake accounts.[11] This has caused issues for companies advertising on Facebook, due to receiving an abundance of likes (without credibility), that distort actual user metrics.[11] Facebook's Terms of Service agreement states that users are only allowed to have one personal page,[12] and it has an ongoing "war" against fake accounts.[13] [14] A May 2015 estimate put the number of fake accounts at 170 million,[15] and a Symantec study in September 2011 found that 15% of 3.5 million video posts were made through fake likes.[16] In 2020, Facebook decided to have a new page design with a cleaner layout and no more 'Like' buttons.[17]
